Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) will cease operations at 4 PM today.
Manatee County Emergency Management has called for mandatory evacuations of residents and visitors in evacuation levels A, B, and C, including all barrier island homes, RVs and mobile homes.
Learn your evacuation level at mymanatee.org/storm.
Evacuation levels are classified using letters A through E, with areas not within a hurricane evacuation level declared “outside of the evacuation area” or N/A. These levels don’t correlate with hurricane categories and are not the same as flood zones.
They are based on hypothetical storm scenarios, factoring in atmospheric pressure, size, speed, and track to determine the potential storm surge.
Evacuation Level | Potential Surge Inundation |
---|---|
A (red) | 11 feet |
B (orange) | 14 feet |
C (yellow) | 18 feet |
D (green) | 27 feet |
E (purple) | 33 feet |
