Historic Bridge Street Pier
Formerly a bridge that served as the only connection from Anna Maria Island to the mainland, it has recently been restored and is now a walkable and exciting community. Bridge City Pier offers fun from beach to bay with shopping, restaurants, and much more!

Bradenton Riverwalk Pier
Located in Downtown Bradenton, the dock is located within a 2.03-mile stretch of land, offering a scenic waterfront within Rossi Park. Riverwalk hosts parks, museums, restaurants, and plenty of outdoor space for picnics and fun under the sun.

The Gulf Island Ferry may operate on a modified schedule during holidays like Labor Day and Memorial Day. We recommend purchasing your tickets beforehand, as in-person availability might be even more limited.
Where is parking near the Gulf Island Ferry?
Parking options and availability vary from terminal to terminal. Those departing from Downtown Bradenton can park for free at the City Centre Parking Facility on 3rd Avenue West, with the terminal being a 5-minute walk to Bradenton Waterfront. Parking is limited for Anna Maria Island and Bridge Street Pier, with limited spots at S. Bay Boulevard, Bayfront Park and Coquina Beach for early birds.
What’s permitted or restricted on the Gulf Island Ferry?
It’s time to pack your bags! The Gulf Island Ferry allows passengers to bring items like towels, picnic baskets, beach chairs, coolers, and similar items to make your beach day seamless. On the other hand, bikes and similar items are not allowed per US Transportation guidelines.
Are there restrooms on the boats?
There are currently no restrooms for public use on either boat.
What services are offered on the Gulf Islands Ferry?
The ferries are open air pontoon style ships with comfortable and ADA compliant seats. They also provide complimentary WiFi, although coverage might be limited on the water.
Are pets allowed on the ferry?
Unfortunately, no pets are allowed on the ferry. They will accommodate ADA/service animals.
Are there any special accommodations for passengers with disabilities?
Yes! The ferries follow ADA guidelines regarding accessibility, with wheelchair-accessible ramps and designated seating areas. Additionally, the staff is trained to help and support passengers with disabilities to ensure a safe and comfortable trip.

Parking lots aren’t on site, but there are different lots available. You can also use the free Island Trolley on Anna Maria Island, as well as Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) throughout the larger Brandeton area.
