121 BRIDGE STREET
BRADENTON BEACH FL, 34217
In November 2011, Adam Ellis opened Blue Marlin Seafood in the heart of historic Bridge Street. You’ll know Blue Marlin by the vibrant blue color of this historic 1920s cottage, and once inside you will feel like you’re in a seafood house in coastal Maine. Ellis and his wife restored the cottage, which has been their family for many years. In keeping with the feel of an intimate, coastal restaurant, they retained the original wainscoting and wood flooring and cleverly built tables and benches from recycled dock wood. The “black and white” room displays black & white photos of locals & their fish catches. Antique ship lanterns, fish mounts & oars scattered throughout lend the cottage a charming, intimate atmosphere. FROM BOAT TO TABLE SERVING ONLY THE FRESHEST LOCAL SEAFOOD Our cuisine focuses on daily fresh fish brought in directly from the Cortez fishing fleet. Daily, local fish selections not only provides our restaurant with the freshest possible fish, but also gives us the ability to offer daily specials with that day’s catch. Although the focus of the menu at Blue Marlin Seafood is fish, we also offer a variety of dishes including steaks, chicken & other landside features. The fish dishes include grouper, snapper, cobia & hogfish prepared many different ways. Other favorites are our shrimp & grits, garlic shrimp, Stone Crab Mac & Cheese, fresh oysters and, of course, the daily specials. We offer Cortez chowder and tater soup, salads, starters like Cortez smoked fish spread, shrimp egg rolls, pulled pork over scallops and other side dishes. There is something on the menu for everyone at every price point and they offer children’s meals too on the “Mini Marlins” menu. Don’t leave without tasting one of the amazing, house made dessert specials.
