Manatee Village Historical Park opened on July 6, 1976, to preserve and share the heritage of Manatee County’s founding period (1840-1918). We do this through museum exhibits and a collection of historical and replica buildings set on nearly four acres under the shade of hundred-year-old oak trees.
With 15 points of interest, we have something for everyone. Guests can enjoy viewing permanent and temporary exhibits in the Wiggins General Store, a stroll through Manatee County’s oldest organized cemetery, or seeing what life was like on the Florida Frontier in our Stephens Settler’s House. We offer a playground for children, and ample picnic tables for relaxing under Spanish moss laden oaks.
In addition to our exhibits, we also host special events throughout the year, including lectures, tours, and of course, our signature event, Old Florida Christmas.
